The Hitman Who Loved Me by Shady Grace = Book Tour + #Giveaway

by Shady Grace
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Pub Date: 6/20/17
Is that a gun in his pocket or…?
Jamie Fields can hardly refuse a free
vacation. Jobless and broke, the struggling single gal is in need of
serious stress relief. Sure, the set up is suspicious—no one gives
away a trip to exotic Cuba—complete with 50,000 dollars cash—just
for delivering a package. But once Jamie’s enjoying sunny beach
days and exhilarating tropical nights, she’s too happy to care.
Especially when she finds herself hotly pursued by a sexy stranger…
The McCoy empire is under siege, and
Sam Hayes has been tapped to take care of the culprit. Sam knows
better than to get involved with his target, but there’s something
about Jamie that keeps him from simply finishing the job and moving
on. Maybe the hard-bodied hitman just can’t wrap his mind around
the fact that the first woman to set his soul on fire is a common
criminal. The only thing Sam can do is keep her close. An easy enough
task—if Sam doesn’t do something stupid. Like fall in love with
the bombshell he was sent to kill….
Shady Grace makes Northern Ontario her
home, where the bush is so thick you can’t see two feet past the tree
line. Perhaps the mystery of the woods was what initially sparked her
need to write. She adores strong alpha males who fall for fiery,
independent women, in settings with humorous dialogue and
action-filled plots. Shady believes love and sex should be exciting
and unforgettable. Being able to write about it is better than
cheesecake. Shady Grace is the new pen name of multi-published erotic
author BL Bonita, who earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly
for Dark Sun Rising. Visit her website at, and

how much fun she had learning the craft and becoming part of an
industry whose books make you believe anything is possible. A big fan
of Agatha Christie, she set out to write her first romantic suspense
novel. Thrilled to be a published author, Lucy also teaches yoga,
enjoys cooking, and saying what other people are thinking. In her
fantasy world, her beautiful Siberian husky, Loki, doesn’t shed and
her three kids clean up after themselves . Alas, that fantasy will
never see fruition.

The Mood for Trouble by Wynter S.K – Book Tour + #Giveaway

The Mood for Trouble
Agent Provocateur Book 1
by Wynter S.K
Genre: Romantic Suspense
It takes a special blend of insanity and courage to answer the call to
become a United States federal agent. CIA officer Charlotte “Chase”
Moreno is equal parts crazy and brave, which, when combined properly,
creates one kick-ass, dead-shot, often reckless spy.
Chase and sexy, roughneck DEA Special Agent Jonathan Harper are forced to
work together to bring down an international drug and weapons
syndicate, and there’s one problem: they can’t stand each other.
But when he comes to her rescue on their first mission together, it’s
impossible for either of them to deny their growing feelings, or the
heat that’s boiling just beneath the surface between them. But one
sizzling, unforgettable night between them in Sin City might have
just changed the tide–forever.

I stepped into the elevator, taking a silent breath in through my nose, deep to the bottom of my lungs. Her warm citrusy scent immediately filled my nose, filled the entire elevator. I slipped a finger into the open collar of my shirt and tugged. It was unnecessary and pointless, but reflexive. I couldn’t breathe.

Chase cleared her throat, staring at the screen above the button panel as it counted down the floors to the lobby. I glanced over at her. Her nervousness was evident in every line of her, from the rigid hold of her shoulders to the tight grip on her clutch purse. The hot tension in the tiny space that made my blood roar in my ears and my heart sledgehammer against my ribs was palpable, and she was feeling it too. I knew she was.

Suddenly, she turned her head, her eyes instantly finding mine and holding them. The roar in my ears became deafening in my head as my mouth flooded with saliva, my hands clenching into fists inside pockets.

One more second, and I will throw her against that wall.

As if she could read my mind, her pupils dilated and her mouth opened. I could hear, loud and clear, the shaky exhale of a deep breath between those luscious lips of hers.

As if on autopilot, one of my hands slipped from my pocket as I turned to face her head on. A soft growl that rumbled deep in my chest took even me by surprise as I stepped nearer.

“Harper,” she whispered.

The elevator pinged as it reached the lobby. The doors slid smoothly apart.

Bloody fucking hell. I stood back, clenching my jaw, letting her walk out before me, as I took another deep breath. I felt like I’d just been possessed by some powerful, unseen force that had been on the cusp of turning me into a slavering beast that could only be sated by ravishing insanely beautiful women.

I stared at Chase’s back as I followed her. The back of the dress was several rows of wide, light pink straps from the bottom of her shoulder blades to her waist, offering flashes of smooth, tanned skin between each strap.

Just one insanely beautiful woman…

Wynter S.K. is her name, and razor-sharp romance is her game. She considers
herself a pioneer of the notion that crème brûlée is a good source
of calcium, and has the uncanny ability to explain to you, in detail,
why wine is basically salad. She’s turned vocal novelizations of
her favorite TV shows (Supernatural, anyone?) into a drinking game,
and frequently laughs herself into asthma attacks.
She’s mom to two furry kids, the Pushy Pomeranian and the Contemptuous Cat.
Oh, and you know those idealized, Alpha male, “book boyfriend”
types we all love that are super tough and sweet and hot, all in one
unfair and unrealistic package? Yeah, she’s married to one. He’s
a cop and a U.S. Army soldier, and after over a dozen years together,
he still makes her heart go ka-thump.
Wynter S.K. is a romantic suspense writer, with a special emphasis on
strong, heart-of-gold, gruff Alpha males and butt-kicking heroines—no
damsels in distress over here! Her favorite pairings are two souls
drawn together under crazy circumstances and recognize their soul’s
counterpart in the other. Mutual healing, painful growth, and of
course, lots of red-hot romps.
Wynter lives for the happily-ever-after, but if, and only if, it follows a
hard-wrought battle. Wynter loves to (figuratively, of course) stab
readers in the heart before making it all better again, so all you
have to do is trust her to tell you a good story, and strap yourself
in—it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

Review of Beyond the Eyes by Rebekkah Ford

Beyond the Eyes by Rebekkah Ford
Beyond the Eyes (Beyond the Eyes #1)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Paige is a teenager who feels rejected by her mother who works away from home. Her father is dead, leaving her lonely and vulnerable. She has two close friends, Tree and Cassie, who she hides an unbelievable secret from. She falls hard for Nathan a mysterious stranger and finds out the world around her, is not what it seems. Her life has changed and will never be the same again.

This is the first book I have read from Ms Ford and I wasn’t disappointed. I really enjoyed the story which is a good mix of Paranormal and romance. It is a YA book but it is also suitable for adults. It is gripping from start to finish and takes you on a journey of love and adventure, leaving you wanting more. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

The Curse of the Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones

The Curse of Tenth Grave (Charley Davidson, #10)The Curse of Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Curse of the Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones

Yet another brilliant book from the grave series. Ms Jones manages to bring the sharp, witty, attitude, of Charley Davidson, to life with this fun filled, action packed, instalment.
I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t yet read it, but secrets are revealed and character backgrounds are explained. The plot thickens as Charley and Reyes protect the life of their daughter Beep, while solving a murder investigation. I can’t wait for the next book.

Midnight Angel – The council trailer

Midnight Angel has been out for just over two months now and I thought it was about time I shared my new council trailer with you.

There are a few places it can be found. Firstly you can find it on my Author’s website.

It is also on Youtube.

I hope you like it and it gives you a little more of an insite into Midnight Angel. Book one of the council series.

Here is an excerpt from the book.

The park was empty at this time of night. All the children had gone home hours ago. The nights were getting colder and the evening air bit through my clothes, making me shiver. A light dew clung to my hair and skin as the darkness closed in around me, shrouding me from the main road.
After a long day at work, I made my way along the manmade path. It was a good shortcut taking fifteen minutes off my journey. I would soon be home, safe and warm.
What to have for dinner? Hmm. Pizza! Yeah, I’ll dial a pizza. Treat myself. Why not?
Happy with my decision, I carried on my way.
Pulling my jacket collar up around my neck, I tried to beat the cold and the shiver running up my spine.
A sharp pain shot through my head, stunning me, and suddenly I was flying across the path. My forehead hit the ground with an audible thump. Another powerful flash of pain. Black blotches blurred my vision as I tried to focus on my surroundings.
I attempted to get up but something struck my back, flattening me to the ground. The wind rushed from my lungs. I couldn’t move! A heavy weight sat on my back, holding me down. I struggled to draw enough air into my lungs. Something sharp penetrated my back, then my arms and the top of my leg. It was pure agony!
What’s happening? Have I been stabbed?
Tucking my flailing hands under my body, I attempted to get up, a silent scream trapped inside me, but the weight held me in place.
Snaking my body, I wriggled across the compact soil of the path, attempting to pull myself forward. It was no use. I couldn’t even get to my hands and knees.
My clothes were ripped from my back as the onslaught continued.
The pain slowly dulled, even though I was still at the mercy of my attacker. My heart pounded with fear as this predator snatched at my body. I was shaken violently from side to side. My gut told me my attacker was male. He was dominant, strong, and overpowering.
Oh God, this can’t be happening. No, please. I don’t want to die!
Glancing around frantically for a weapon, I realized I still had my keys in my hand. Without thinking, I slashed them behind my back with as much force as I could. They bit into something soft. Warm fluid flowed over me.
I had hurt him and possibly made him angrier. This unseen person was going to do the unthinkable. He was going to violate me, rob me of my life, or both. I desperately needed to get away from this monster. But how? I couldn’t fight back. Damn it, I couldn’t even move.
Nausea washed over me as my body weakened, my life draining away. A dark mist clouded my mind, consuming me, consuming my thoughts. I was going to die here in a lonely, dark park in the middle of London. I would never see my family and friends again.
Why? Why? I want to live. Help me, please help me, someone!
As if this monster had heard my silent plea, the shaking suddenly stopped. The weight lifted slightly and I could breathe. Relief washed over me.
Had the attack finished? Did he think I was dead?
I lay still, faking death, struggling not to take deep, gulping breaths. I fought the panic pumping through my body.
I became aware of a stroking sensation on my back, a light caress. Small strokes, followed by a sound I could not identify. The strokes became harder and the noise louder. A wet, squelching sound.
What is that?
My head spun with confusion and panic as I strained to locate my attacker. I saw a movement from the corner of my eye. I turned but couldn’t focus. It was too dark and I was in shock.
Warm liquid ran down my back, arms, and legs. Blood. My blood, but there was no pain, still no pain.
In a moment of clarity, I knew I had to move. To get away before my attacker struck again.

Back of the book blurb
After almost losing her life in a vicious, bloody attack. Kat Shaw, a thirty-something, divorcee, discovers that there are such things as monsters. And the predator who attacked her is not human. Cut scene from Midnight Angel

Tracey A Wood (2)

I was suppose to have been on a fellow authors blog today. Unfortunaly that hasn’t happened. So here i am hoping to entertain you.

A fellow author posted this previously on their blog and everyone seemed to enjoy it. This is a scene that was cut from Midnight Angel. As you may or may not know it is the first book I have written. And as such i orginally did what i do in life, I rattled on. Yes i talk when i am nervious, and when i am not. So there is no getting away from being a babbler. Lol

Now it is streamlined and edited. But when i first wrote it, it was a massive 101,000 + words long.

Anyway, I’m doing the babble thing again so here is one of the cut scenes. I will post other scenes in the months to come.

Kat Shaw is the heroin of Midnight Angel.

Kat and Jonathon were friends from high school.

Their friendship began when Kat got into trouble fighting with the school bitch, who was pushing him around.  He would not fight back which she saw as a weakness. But that was not the case. It was because she was a girl and Jonathan would never hit a girl. She had been having a go at him every day for months, making snide remarks behind his back about him being gay. Things gradually got worse and worse until she started to get physical with him and by physical I mean violent.

One day it all came to a head. It was when the bitch, also known as Donna, punched Jonathan in the nose. She started off pushing him around. Then moved on to slapping him at the back of the head.  Her grand finale was the punch in the nose. The blood erupted like a volcanic explosion, splattering ever one within a few feet of the incident. I had seen everything and kept my temper well, until that happened.

My blood boiled as I tried to control the emotions welling up inside me. She was a bully. Something, I couldn’t and still cannot stand. I felt the anger start in the pit of my belly. In a sudden crescendo, it erupted. I could not stop it! I was shaking all over. Before I knew what had happened, I was on top of her and she was flat on her back. I was reigning blows down on her. She was trying to cover her face, screaming like a banshee, and begging me to stop. The more she screamed the more I hit her, until I realised Jonathan was pleading with me to leave it. She wasn’t worth it. The next thing I knew, I was lifted in the air, landing on the ground with a hard thump on my backside. It all happened so quickly. I looked around wondering what the hell had happened. I realized, Mr Newman, one of the teachers, had seen what was going on. Everyone knew what Donna had been doing but I still got into trouble. Two wrongs don’t make a right, the headmaster told me.

From then on Jonathan and I were friends and he didn’t get any more shit, from that bitch Donna.
